3) Library director Phyllis Gorshe reports a landslide victory for Dunedin in the friendly, but competitive against Palm Harbor Library. Dunedin collected 693 individual pairs of underwear, while Palm Harbor collected 300, she said. Both libraries for Clothes to Kids charity through Oct. 26.

4) Olde Bay Café & Dunedin Fish Market ‎ has an interesting Facebook page promotion going on. The restuarant wants its diners to post sunset photos they take from the outdoor seating area to its Facebook wall from now until Oct. 31. Photos with the most "likes" win a $50 gift certificate and a donation to Dunedin Doggie Rescue.

5) Today is National Coming Out Day. The gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community unites next week for North Pinellas Pride week with many events in Dunedin, Clearwater and Safety Harbor between Oct. 16 to 23.
