Gas Dryer Causes Fire in ManorCare Storage Building
Officials report $6,000 in damages at assisted living facility on Monday.

Fire officials are blaming a gas-powered dryer for a blaze inside a maintenance building at an assisted living facility late Monday.
Dunedin firefighters contained the blaze to the dryer, which is inside the storage building at ManorCare Health Services, 870 Patricia Ave., fire officials report. The building housed cleaning equipment and was unoccupied at the time.
No injuries were reported and no residents were moved during the fire. Damage is estimated at $6,000, fire officials report.

Dunedin responded to the scene with four units at 10:42 p.m. Safety Harbor and Clearwater fire departments assisted.
