Local Lottery Winner Tells Barbara Walters 'Life is a Gift'

Casa Tina waitress Alexandra Chaar appeared in an ABC 20/20 segment on lottery winners Friday.

A Dunedin waitress and lottery winner recently sat down with broadcast journalist Barbara Walters for a segment on lottery winners.

Alexandra Chaar, a 21-year-old waitress at , appeared in a March 30 segment on ABC's 20/20 that looked at whether lottery winners are actually happier with more money. 

"I think there's certain people that think money buys them happiness," Chaar told Walters. "I'm such a happy person; I believe that life is a gift. I ask myself, 'why is it me that won the lottery?' ... I believe it was given to me because I'm going to do something great with it ..."

"I love my job. It's my little home away from home," she told Walters.
