Moped Driver Ejected During Crash
A Clearwater man was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries Monday afternoon.

A Clearwater man sustained non-life threatening injuries after being ejected from his moped on Main Street Monday afternoon.
Christopher John Taggart, 22, struck the side of a 2001 Mazda SUV at the intersection of Virginia Avenue/Sunlight Drive as he was traveling west on Main Street (State Route 580) at 4:36 p.m., Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies report.
Janice R. Geoghegan, 76, of Seminole, was traveling east on Main Street and attempting to turn left in her SUV onto Sunlight Drive when her vehicle was struck, deputies report.

Taggart ejected from his moped, deputies report. He was not wearing a helmet, but was reportedly conscious and talked to rescuers as he was taken to Bayfront Medical Center for his injuries.
Geoghegan was cited for violation of right of way, deputies report.
