Officials Extend Brand Survey Deadline to September

The questionnaire is available for residents on the city Web site.

Marketing experts need YOU to help capture Dunedin's essence.

And they've recently extended the deadline for your expertise until Sept. 1.

Wilesmith, a West Palm Beach-based independent advertising company, has created questionnaire in hopes of gaining insight into what residents, visitors and businesses find most attractive about Dunedin.

The 28-question survey takes about 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

So far, 355 surveys have been completed, city spokeswoman Courtney King said.

The results will help Wilesmith formulate a unified marketing and business strategy, at a cost of to the city.

The important thing for residents to realize, Vice Mayor Ron Barnette said in a recent budget workshop, is that the brand is meant to “represent, not redefine. ... [It's] how to best clarify who we are, not who we should be."

Anyone can take the survey, King said. It can also be found on the City of Dunedin Web site.
