Florida Big Leaguers Fall to SC in World Series, Game 3
The Florida District 12 all-stars lost to South Carolina in their third game at the Big League World Series in Easley, SC, on Saturday, dropping to 1-2 in pool play.
EASLEY, SC — The Southern boys of summer took to the field Saturday night at Easley's J.B. "Red" Owens Complex.
Host team met for a battle of the southeast.

Florida, representing the Southeast and comprised of players from Dunedin, Clearwater, Largo and Palm Harbor, broke through with a run in the fourth and tied the game 2-2 in the bottom of the sixth when Clearwater Central Catholic High's Carter Cashman doubled home Dunedin High product Jordan Savinon.Â
But a two-run homer from Will Hartsell gave SC District 1 the lead at the top of the seventh, and Florida was unable to catch up.Â

On Deck
The Florida All-Stars are now 1-2 in pool play and in fourth place in the six-team U.S. Division. The top two teams advance to Tuesday's semifinal, with the winner facing the International Division winner in the championship.
Florida's next game is 4 p.m. Monday against West respresentative Southern California.
