State Senator To Speak At Breakfast

Sen. Jack Latvala joins the Dunedin Council of Organizations for a nonpartisan talk Friday.

Florida State Sen. Jack Latvala is joining other community leaders for breakfast early Friday.

He will speak at the regularly scheduled Dunedin Council of Organizations meeting on local nonpartisan issues.

Latvala (R-District 16) was elected to the state senate in 2010. He introduced six bills including one that would allow for the lease of sovereignty submerged lands for private residential docks and piers and another that extends certain business opportunities to not just disabled veterans but other wartime vets.

The Council typically invites community leaders to speak at its meetings.

The Council is a nonpartisan network of community organizations. Its members are from local businesses, schools, churches, nieghborhoods, professional groups and other such organizations. Members meet every third Friday (September through May) for breakfast and to further its mission of better promoting and serving the community.
