What’s Open for Thanksgiving in Dunedin?

Here's a look at meal options for those not cooking at home.

 

1)

On the buffett: noon to 6 p.m. ($39.95, plus a service charge and tax, Children under 10 are half price.)

  • All the traditional Thanksgiving sides and desserts and fresh fruit.
  • Seared Ahi tuna with wasabi and pickled ginger, Prince Edward Island Mussels in garlic tomato sauce, Edamame in rice wine vinegar and fresh mint, Classic French country pate with Cumberland sauce, Gulf shrimp with horseradish cocktail sauce, Shaved roast beef with green peppercorn aioli, Mushrooms marinated in cognac dressing, Baby mozzarella with basil pesto, House-smoked salmon brushetta with goat cheese, Eggplant caviar, Mixed olives and celery and Marinated cauliflower and peppers.
  • Main meats: Roast north Carolina turkey with giblet gravy (carved to order), Virginia ham basted with brown sugar-bourbon glaze, Roast prime rib of beef with au jus, Grilled salmon with chive remoulade and Breast of chicken in classic marsala sauce.

In the Main Dining Room: noon to 9 p.m. ($45, plus tax and tip, children under 10 are half price.)

  • Appetizer: Roasted butternut squash and sweet corn bisque or fresh fruits and strawberries with vanilla mint syrup.
  • A holiday salad,
  • Smoked salmon on potato pancakes with sour cream and wasabi caviar. 
  • Something Extra: Brushetta with prosciutto, Marscarpone, Onion marmalade, Baby arugula and truffled honey; Gulf shrimp with classic horseradish cocktail sauce, Jumbo lump crab martini with key lime remoulade, Lobster cocktail with cognac dressing.
  • Main course: Virginia ham-based molasses and golden raisin glaze, Grilled salmon with a spice etouffee cream, Filet mignon grilled on an eggplant crouton with artichoke hearts and sauce béarnaise, Roasted North Carolina turkey with old-fashioned pecan stuffing, Giblet gravy and cranberry-orange relish; Pork loin steaks, pan-seared with button mushrooms, carmelized onions and chardonnay demi (All main courses served with steamed asparagus, rutabagas and sweet potato croquette, bread and butter.)
  • Choice of dessert.

  • Appetizer: Slow roasted tomato and basil bisque with grated white corn and crème fraiche.
  • Salad: Mixed greens tossed with Dijon viniagarette, sundried cranberries, granny smith apples, crumbled gorgonzola and spiced walnuts.
  • Main Course: Turducken ("Kelly’s version of a K-Paul holiday classic"): Boneless turkey, duck and chicken breasts layered with Italian sausage and a cheddar corn stuffing, roasted and finished with a creole brown turkey sauce and all the trimmings.
  • Dessert: Orange Grand Marnier pumpkin pie or nutella expresso white chocolate chip cheesecake with caramel crème anglaise

  • Roasted turkey.
  • Sage and cornbread stuffing.
  • Mediterranean-style smashed potatoes with gravy.
  • Smashed sweet potatoes with vanilla and maple syrup.
