Fans Can Win Big at D-Jays Championship Playoff Tonight

Fans who attend Game No. 2 of the Dunedin Blue Jays vs. Lakeland Flying Tigers series at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium tonight have a shot at taking home an iPad, movie tickets and more.

The first-half season champion Dunedin Blue Jays take on the Lakeland Flying Tigers in Game 2 of the first-round series Wednesday (Sept. 5) at . 

To celebrate the playoff push, the Dunedin Blue Jays are combining some of their favorite promotions from the season into one jam-packed evening.

Freebies:

  • One fan will win a new Apple iPad.
  • If the D-Jays win, you can redeem your ticket at Cobb Countryside 12 Theatre at Westfield Countryside Mall. It is good for one free movie, but only if they win.
  • All kids 12 and under get in FREE with a paying adult.
  • The first 300 fans in attendance will receive a free team photo.
  • Anyone who brings a new backpack for gets into the game free.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m.; first pitch is 6:30 p.m.; tickets are $6.

The D-Jays came out of the gates red hot, going 35-18 in April and May. They with the first-half division championship.

The Jays, now 78-55, came back to earth during the second half of the season, only to face the Lakeland Flying Tigers (73-58) for the North Division title. The North Division champion will face the winner of the South Division title matchup, the St. Lucie Mets (83-52) vs. Jupiter Hammerheads (74-62), next week for the 2012 Florida State League Championship.
