Dunedin Woman Arrested in Prostitution Sting
The 22-year-old was one of 47 people arrested in a Polk County prostitution sting over the weekend.

A Dunedin woman was one of 47 people arrested on prostitution charges in Polk County over the weekend after authorities say she responded through an adult ad online.Â
Meghan Nicole Power, 22, of Dexter Drive, is charged with soliciting prostitution.
Polk County detectives say they went undercover targeting suspects through online adult ads. From March 9-11, 47 people responded to the ads or met with detectives with the intent to perform sexual acts for money. Most suspects were from Polk County, detectives reported in a news release, and some were visiting.

Those arrested include a doctor, a pharmacist, a pharmaceutical salesman and a retired IRS agent, according to the sheriff’s office. Three suspects were arrested on charges of possession of narcotics, one was in possession of a concealed, stolen firearm, and one was found to be violating probation for burglary. Several of the suspects also said they were married, according to the sheriff’s office.
Records from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office indicate that sheriff’s deputies and Clearwater Police have brought Power in on possession of cocaine and other charges a handful of times since 2007.Â
