East Lake's 2013 Relay for Life Gains Momentum
As the event approaches, the Eagles continue to raise funds for the big day. Relay for Life will be held at East Lake High School on April 12 at 6 p.m. until the same time on April 13.
Throughout the 24-hour period, teams will camp out around the track and take turns walking, jogging or running to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
From 222 registered participants in mid-February to the current number of 289, the Eagles are steadily increasing their contribution.
In just a few short weeks, the students, staff and parents of East Lake High have almost doubled the amount of funds raised, from $3,949.15 on February 14 to $7,489.15 on March 11.
