East Lake Fire Rescue Hosts Annual 5K Run
East Lake Fire Rescue's 3rd Annual 5K Run will be held October 22.

From East Lake Fire Rescue:
East Lake Fire Rescue will be hosting their 3rd Annual 5K Run on October 22nd, 2016. The event will start at 8am and will take place at station 57 located at 3375 Tarpon Lake Blvd, Palm Harbor, FL 34685. During this chip timed event, all participants will receive a 5k Run t-shirt, a goodie bag, an ELFR 5K Run medal and a post-race party which will include a pancake breakfast.
The 5k Run has been a very successful event in the past with extremel positive feedback from participants. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Children's Burn Foundation, Friends of Joshua House Foundation and other local charities.

The Children's Burn Foundation of Florida, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the needs of children who have suffered severe burn injuries. Made up of representatives from local fire service organizations, hospitals, and businesses, Children's Burn Foundation provides special programs which focus on assisting children and their families in rehabilitation, social adjustment, and motivation to facilitate main-streaming them back into society as productive people.
Joshua House is a safe haven for abused, abandoned, and neglected children. Joshua House offers a therapeutic residential group care program that provides a protected, nurturing, family-like environment for children ages six to seventeen. These children have been removed from their homes due to crisis and
many have been through multiple foster homes.
