East Lake Man Burned When Boat Catches Fire in Driveway

The man was taken to the hospital with burns to his torso, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

An East Lake man suffered burns Thursday when a boat caught fire in a residential driveway, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

According to the newspaper:

Firefighters responded to 846 Centerwood Drive at about 6:15 p.m., said East Lake Tarpon Special Fire Control District Chief Mark Teolis.

The man, who is in his 30s, was hospitalized with burns to his torso, the Times reports.

According to MyFox Tampa Bay, the man had been working to clean the boat when it exploded.

The incident was under investigation.
