Mark Your Calendar: Dates For Back To School Nights in East Lake

The first day of school in Pinellas County will be Monday, August 19. All students will return to school on this day and classes will begin, according to the school district's 2013-2014 school calendar.

But several schools won't hold their official "Back To School Nights" until days later. The county's back to school nights offer parents a chance to meet teachers, tour the school and get acquainted with their child's curriculum. 

In Pinellas County, the district suggests back to school nights be held on certain dates according to grade level. Each school then decides just when they'll host their open house night. 

To find out the exact date of your child's back to school night, it's best to call their school. But in general these are the dates the district suggests:

Elementary School: Thursday, August 15; Tuesday, August 20; Wednesday, August 21; Thursday, August 29; or Wednesday, September 11.

Middle School: Tuesday, September 3; or Tuesday, September 17

High School: Monday, August 26
