1. Deadly Deer Encounters: Reader Wants Flashing Sign in Front of John Chesnut Park

An East Lake resident is raising concerns about safety on East Lake Road and the wildlife that is killed there. Barb Walker, an East Lake resident, mother, Audubon Society Volunteer, wildlife activist and a blogger for Patch, wrote a letter after seeing a deer shot dead after it was hit by a vehicle on East Lake Road. 

2. Five Guys Burgers Is Open For Business

The wait is over for fans of Five Guys Burgers and Fries. On Jan. 1, the Arlington, VA-based fast food chain opened a new location at the Shoppes of Boot Ranch in Palm Harbor's East Lake community.

3. East Lake Sweetbay Closing

The Sweetbay Supermarket, at 3400 E. Lake Road, is among 33 under performing stores in Florida scheduled to close in Feburary, the grocer's parent company announced Wednesday. What do you think should replace it?
