5 Things to Know in Gulfport: Fresh Market, City Council, Swing Time Anniversary

Tuesday Fresh Market: Have you heard about the market's efforts to extend hours? The good news is, organizers will extend the market to 8 p.m. on the first Tuesday of the month. The bad news . . . it doesn't start until October. That's ok! The market is going on today from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. as planned. City Council: The public is encouraged to attend the Gulfport City Council Meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at Gulfport City Hall. Check out the agenda on the city's website before heading over.

Budget Hearing: Don't forget to come out on Wednesday for the second budget hearing at Gulfport City Hall. Councilors will vote on the FY 2013 Operating Budget during second reading. The hearing is at 7 p.m.
