Hang Out With Gulfport Patch: The "Green Machine" is in Gulfport this week! Stop by and say "hi" today at the Fresh Market (at the La Cote Basque parking lot) from 10 - 12 p.m. and then grab a bite to eat at Smokin' J's between 2 and 6 p.m. Bring a donation for our Patch Food Drive benefitting Feeding America Tampa Bay and you'll be entered in a raffle for gift certificates to local businesses.

Fresh Market: The weekly Tuesday Fresh Market features dozens of vendors with fresh produce, one-of-a-kind art, home decor, plants and more. The market is set up on Beach Boulevard from 9 - 3 p.m. For more information check out the Fresh Market on Facebook.

Zone 1 Crime Watch: The next Zone 1 Crime Watch meeting will be held Saturday, May 5th, at 4:00 p.m., in the Gulfport Neighborhood Center (1617 49th Street S.). Representatives from the Gulfport and St. Petersburg Police Departments will be available to listen to neighbor's concerns and answer any questions. All St. Petersburg residents living on the North side of 7th Ave. and between 58th Street and 64th Street are encouraged to attend, as well as anyone living within Gulfport. Join eSeries: Prepare to Survive at noon on Wednesday, May 2 starting at 12 p.m. Learn about selecting plants and trees that fare best during hurricanes, how proper maintenance of trees can help them weather the worst and learn how to provide steps to help reduce the likelihood of your home being damaged.
