5 Things to Know in Gulfport: Hurricane Season, First Friday Art Walk, Teen Dance

First Friday Art Walk: Everyone is invited to the Art Walk on Beach Boulevard from 6 - 10 p.m. There will be vendors featuring art, home decor, plants, food and more! Don't forget, there's always live performers at the Art Village Courtyard.

Industrial Arts Center Closed: Due to several equipment failures the Industrial Arts Center will be closed for the first time, since they've opened, during an Art Walk. Officials are hoping to sell tickets for an opportunity drawing at tonight's Art Walk in order to fundraise and open their doors open again. Teen Swing Dance: Swing Time invites teens ages 13 and older to enjoy a night of swing dancing, complete with a Dance Jam and Contest with prizes and giveaways at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom. No partner needed. Admission is $7 per person. Enjoy a swing lesson at 7:15pm. The dance begins at 8pm. Snacks and soft drinks will be available for purchase.
