5 Things to Know This Weekend: Cleanup,Yard Sale, Art Walk

Clam Bayou Cleanup: Take part in the Great American Cleanup on Saturday from 9-noon at Clam Bayou. Come out to help pick up litter on the trails and in the water. Bring your own kayak or canoe. Just show up ready to help!

Antiques in the Park & Citywide Yard Sale: Good luck on your treasure hunt today. There are more than 80 participants included in the City's Yard Sale brochure. We've attached it to this article for you to click and print before you head out. Also, don't forget to stop by Clymer Park for the Antiques in the Park from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

O'Maddy's St. Paddy's Day Fundraiser: The waterfront area of Shore Blvd. will be closed today for a huge outdoor celebration at O'Maddy's Bar and Grille. There will be live music by "The Paul Anthony Band" from noon to 4 p.m. and "Pete & Dean" from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Activities will include face painting, balloon twisting, party favors of all sorts, and a sale of St. Patrick's Day goodies to benefit the Gulfport Teen Council. Tickets for outdoor seating, a meal and two drinks are $20 and can be purchased at O'Maddy's. The tickets are first come first serve with lunch starting at 11 a.m.

Art Walk & Art Fundraiser: Enjoy the "Old Florida" atmosphere in downtown Gulfport from 6-10 p.m. at the Third Saturday Art Walk. Also, stop by the Gulfport Elementary students art fundraiser booth at the corner of Beach and Shore Blvd. The students are selling art to help raise money for their teacher, Beth Myers, who was diagnosed with plasma cancer in October 2011.
