Haunted Houses, Clam Bayou Dedication, Country Jubilee and more in "5 Things to Know This Weekend."

Haunted Houses: Be sure to check out Newton's Haunts at the 5600 block of Newton Avenue South this weekend! Are you affraid of clowns? Stop by The Midway and see if you can make it through! Now, there are two haunted houses on Newton Avenue and each house is collecting a $2 donation. The Midway house will raise money for the Fire Explorers post 945. There's a special bonus this year! For $5 you can go through the haunted house with a firefighter. So, if there are any ladies out there who are affraid to go in alone, donate a little more and get an escort to help you through. Sanitarium is open from 7:30 - 10 p.m. and the Midway is open 7:30 - 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27. Check out this video interview with Nolan Sloan about The Midway!

Country Jubilee: The 34th Annual Country Jubilee: A Centennial Celebration will fature more than 120 food and craft vendors at the Pinellas County Heritage Village on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Florida folk, bluegrass and country music will be performed live throughout the day. The entertainment will include 13-year-old Carmen Brandy who made her first trip to Nashville in 2011. For more information check out the Pinellas County Government website.

Clam Bayou Dedication: St. Petersburg, the Southwest Florida Water Management District and the city of Gulfport will dedicate the Clam Bayou Restoration and Skyway Trail at a ceremony at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, Clam Bayou, 4255 34th Ave. S. The Clam Bayou Restoration and Stormwater Treatment Project marks the final step in a multi-agency effort to restore 64 acres of estuarine and coastal habitats and create 20 acres of ponds to treat stormwater runoff from the 2,600-acre surrounding area.

Band & Ballroom Dance: Don't forget to put on your dancing shoes and end the weekend on a good note at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom on Sunday night. Ballroom dance lessons begins at 6 p.m. and a live band will welcome everyone on the dance floor at 7 p.m. This Sunday Ellis Hale's Band will take to the stage. Admission for the entire night is just $7 per person. For more information call the Casino at (727) 893-1070.

Weekend Forecast: Looks like we're going to have plenty of sunshine this weekend! It'll be mostly sunny with a high near 78 on Saturday and partly sunny with a high near 77 on Sunday. Now, Saturday night it'll be mostly clear with a low around 67 and Sunday night it's going to be mostly clear with a low around 65.
