5 Things to Know This Weekend: Welcome Dogs, Cats and More!

Welcome Dogs & Adoptable Pets! The 8th Annual Gulfport's Get Rescued is today! About 10,000 people and more than 60 regional animal rescue organizations will flood downtown Gulfport today. Come out to the free animal fundraiser. There will be plenty of adoptable pets, a pet parade, pet activities and more! The event is from 10 - 6 p.m.

Get Rescued Celebration: The Get Rescued Celebration is tonight from 7 - 11 p.m. at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom. Tickets are $20. The event is also a fundraiser and will benefit animal rescue organizations taking part in the evening event. A limited number of tickets will also be available at the door.
