5 Things to Know Today: Art, Art and More Art
First Friday Art Walk, Senior Art Exhibit, City of Imagination Art Exhibit and Art Fundraiser by Gulfport Elementary Students in "5 Things to Know Today."

First Friday Art Walk: March's first Art Walk is tonight from 6 - 10 p.m. on Beach Boulevard in downtown Gulfport. Come one, come all to the family and pet friendly event. There will be local vendors and artists set up in the Waterfront District for all to view and shop. Be sure to swing by the Industrial Arts Center and Art Village Courtyard.
Gulfport Senior Art: "Age ain't nothing but a number," - right? Stop by the Gulfport Senior Art Workshop Exhibit Opening and Reception on Friday at 6 p.m. at the Gulfport Public Library. The art will be on display throughout the month.
City of Imagination: The City of Imagination Art Exhibit Opening & Reception is also tonight at 6 p.m. at the Catherine Hickman Theater

Gulfport Elementary Students Art Fundraiser: A handful of third graders created art to sell and help raise money for their teacher Mrs. Beth Myers. Myers was diagnosed with plasma cancer in October and is recieving treatments. Learn more about the student's efforts in this story and be sure to stop by the Art Walk. The students, along with their parents and Teacher Betsy Kinsely, will have a booth.
