5 Things to Know Today: Chowdah Challenge, Bark for Life, Early Voting

Chowdah's Not Just for Clams: Register now for the first ever Chowdah Challenge at the Industrial Arts Center on Sat. Jan. 28 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Entry deadline is January 25th for the chowder tasting and judging event. The entry fee is $25 and includes an IAC membership and commemmorative apron. Early Voting: In Pinellas County, early voting will be conducted January 21-28 in all three Supervisor of Elections offices. Hours will be Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.- 6 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. The last day for early voting is Saturday, Jan. 28, per a new state law. Early voting locations:

Bark for Life: Mark your calendars for Gulfport’s first annual Bark for Life event on Saturday, Jan. 21. "The Curious Savage": The Gulfport Community Players present this comedy about Ethel Savage, a widow whose children have committed her to a "genteel asylum" to try and get her late husband's fortune. Shows are on Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Catherine Hickman Theater. Tickets are $15.
