Gulfport City Council: There is a Gulfport City Council meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at Gulfport City Hall. View the agenda online on the city's website. If you can't make it to the meeting, watch it live online on GTV615.

Gulfport Fresh Market: Come out to the weekly fresh market on Beach Boulevard from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Don't forget to "like" Gulfport Tuesday Fresh Market on Facebook.

Ready? Start Counting Birds: Anyone can participate in The Great Backyard Bird Count. The Gulfport Senior Center is hosting a free presentation today at 1 p.m. about the event next month. Watch and count birds for at least 15 minutes on any day of the count, Feb. 17-20. Enter your results at www.birdcount.org, where you can watch as the tallies grow across the continent. The four-day count typically records more than 10 million observations.

Bark for Life: Mark your calendars for Gulfport’s first annual Bark for Life event on Saturday, Jan. 21.
