5 Things to Know Today: Citywide Yard Sale, Weekend Events, Art Fundraiser

There's still time to plan your weekend! We have several events going on!

Citywide Yard Sale: The Citywide Yard Sale is tomorrow! Be sure to print out the flyer of the participating homes provided by the City of Gulfport. We've attached it to this article! Also on Saturday, we have the "Antiques in the Park" from 10 - 5 p.m.

Art Fundraiser: The Gulfport Elementary third grade students who created and sold art at the last Art Walk will be out again on Saturday on the corner of Shore Blvd. and Beach Blvd. The class is helping raise money for their teacher Mrs. Beth Myers, who was diagnosed with plasma cancer in October 2011. Mrs. Myers is seeking medical attention in Arkansas. Be sure to stop by their booth and browse at the Third Saturday Art Walk from 6 - 10 p.m. in downtown Gulfport.

Teen Council Fundraiser: The ever-popular O'Maddy's Bar and Grille will host their annual St. Patrick's Day celebration on Saturday, but this year, some of the proceeds are going to the Gulfport Teen Council. Organizers are opening up seating on Shore Boulevard for $20 a ticket, which will include corned beef and cabbage and two drinks. Tickets are first come, first serve and can be purchase in advance at Bo-Tiki, the Gulfport Area Chamber of Commerce and O'Maddy's.
