5 Things to Know Today: Election Tomorrow

Tuesday Election: The Gulfport Municipal Elections are on Tuesday, March 13. Polls are open 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. at four locations: Gulfport Recreation Center, Most Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Trinity Church of the Nazarene and Gulfport Presbyterian Church. There are two council seats open (Ward 1 and Ward 3) and there are five amendment questions. We've attached the Sample Ballot to this story from the City of Gulfport's website.

AARP Tax Help: There is free tax assistance at the Gulfport Public Library on Mondays and Fridays in March. Come between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and bring social security cards for all persons listed on the tax returns, a photo ID and all tax documents such as W2's, etc. For more information call the library at 893-1074.

Identity Theft: Everyone is invited to the monthly Crime Watch Meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at the Gulfport Neighborhood Center, 1617 49th St. S. Organizers will be talking about identity theft.
