City Council Candidate Forum for the candidates for Ward 1 and Ward 3 tonight, Get ready for Gulfport's Get Rescued, High of 78 and more in "5 Things to Know Today."

Candidates Forum: Come out tonight at 7 p.m. at the Catherine Hickman Theater for the Meet the Candidates Forum. You'll hear from Candidates for Ward 1 and Ward 3 in the forum sponsored by the City of Gulfport and League of Women Voters.

Gulfport's Get Rescued: Mark your calendars for the 8th Annual Gulfport's Get Rescued on Saturday, Feb. 25 from 10 - 6 p.m. in downtown Gulfport. Come out and support local animal rescues! Get Rescued Celebration: Tickets are on sale now at Bo Tiki and Domain Home Accessories for the Get Rescued Celebration on Sat. Feb. 25 from 7 - 11 p.m. at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom. The evening celebration features music, hors d'oeuvres a cash bar and more. Tickets are $20.
