5 Things to Know Today: Senior Talent Show Sold Out

Senior Talent Show Today, Sponsor an Animal Rescue Organization, Help a Gulfport Neighbor and more in "5 Things to Know Today."

Sold Out: The first-ever Gulfport Senior Talent Show is sold out. The show is today at 1 p.m. at Catherine Hickman Theater. Tickets are $5, and proceeds benefit the Gulfport Senior Center Foundation. Sponsor an Animal Rescue Group: There are two upcoming events that need local sponsors. For $50, your business can sponsor an animal rescue group at the annual Gulfport's Get Rescued event on Feb. 25. For more information, contact Lynda at No1Ringmaster@aol.com or www.GulfportMA.com

Help a Neighbor: The Gulfport Neighbors are asking for your help. A volunteer effort is being put together for Saturday at 5200 8th Ave S. in Gulfport. The nonprofit group has learned that a neighbor is in distress and needs help on a very large home project. More details are listed on the Announcement on Gulfport Patch. Home Tour Expands: New this year, Stetson University College of Law is pairing up with the Gulfport Area Chamber of Commerce for the 8th annual Flamingo Home Tour on Saturday, March 10. Registration will be held at the Great Hall on the Stetson Campus, and there will be student-assisted tours of key parts of the campus, in addition to the guided tours of several homes in Gulfport.
