5 Things to Know Today: Toastmasters, Movie Night, City Council

Join the Toastmasters: Have you heard about the new Toastmasters Club in Gulfport? The group just joined and they want to see new faces at their upcoming meetings. Come out any or every Wednesday from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. at The Gulfport Meeting Center, 5021 Tangerine Ave in Gulfport. Free Movie: Come out to the Art Village Courtyard tonight for a free movie screening on stage. Nick Harper with YNOT Youth Ministries and James Clark with T and Me Tea Company plan to show movies in the Courtyard on Wednesdays. The movies will start at 7 or 7:30 p.m.

City Council Online: Tuesday night's Regular City Council Meeting was not broadcast live because it was held at the Catherine Hickman Theater. Officials did tape the meeting and will upload it on the city's website sometime today.

Get Rescued Celebration: You've heard about the annul Gulfport's Get Rescued animal event from 10 - 6 p.m. in downtown Gulfport but have you heard about the Get Rescued Celebration that night? Come on out to the annual evening celebration at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom 7 - 10 p.m. For a $20 donation per admission, you'll receive hors d'oeuvre's and a full party atmosphere with a cash bar, fresh flowers and decor.
