City Council Workshop: The City Council Workshop is today at 3:30 p.m. at the Catherine Hickman Theater. The main item on the agenda is a discussion on the implementation of the city's strategic plan and goals. To view the agenda, check it out online on the city's website.
8th Annual Gulfport's Get Rescued: Wahoo! It's almost here! The 8th Annual Gulfport's Get Rescued daytime event and evening Get Rescued Celebration is on Sat. Feb 25th! Check out our guide before you head to the event. And make sure to say "hi" to Gulfport Patch! We'll have a booth at the event.
Books Needed: The Circle of Friends of the Gulfport Library is hosting it's second annual book sale on Saturday, March 3 at Scout Hall, 5315 28th Ave S. But, they need your help to make it a success. Donate your gently used books, DVD's and CDs to the Gulfport Library, at 5501 27th Ave S.. The group is unable to accept video and audio cassettes or magazines. Mentor a Student: Boca Ciega High School needs your help. Officials are asking volunteers to join their mentor program. You can help motivate, tutor and inspire a student. Training sessions at Boca Ciega High School are on March 16 and April 19.
