Palms of Pasadena Hospital Awarded 'A' for Patient Safety

Palms of Pasadena Hospital was honored with an “A” Hospital Safety ScoreSM by The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit run by employers and other large purchasers of health benefits.

The Hospital Safety ScoreSM was calculated under the guidance of The Leapfrog Group’s Blue Ribbon Expert Panel using publicly available data on patient injuries, medical and medication errors, and infections. U.S. hospitals were assigned an A, B, C, D, or F for their safety.

“Overall, 27 percent of hospitals nationwide earned an A, while 25 percent were Bs and 42 percent were Cs. The safety of our patients is of paramount importance to our team. I am very proud of our ‘A’ scoring, and providing our community with a safe healthcare environment,” said Brian Flynn, CEO.
