The READ (Reading Educational Assistance Dogs) Program is designed to encourage children to read and help instill confidence. Children read a book of their choice to specially trained READ dogs. The enjoyment of reading aloud for pleasure is foremost and beginning and proficient readers alike benefit from having an appreciative (and furry!) audience.
Monty enjoyed listening to some young readers during his two previous programs in October so much, that he even put on a little performance to entertain his fans! So, please drop by the Library at 5501 28th Avenue South this Saturday and join Monty and Lisa in the Youth Services area between 10:30 and 11:30am.
