8th Annual Flamingo Home Tour

The 8^th Annual Flamingo Home Tour coming up on March 10 will this year have the added attraction of student-assisted tours of key parts of the beautiful Gulfport campus of Stetson University College of Law including the spectacular Great Hall and Library. In addition, guided tours of several distinctive homes in the Stetson area will be featured in the much anticipated Gulfport Area Chamber of Commerce event.

Unlike prior years, registration will be held at the Great Hall on the Stetson Campus.  Guests will be guided by signage to on-site parking and the registration area.  Trolley shuttle service to and from the homes will operate all day from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

According to Dolly Tickell, event Chairperson, “ Those who live in the area or those who just drive through are always impressed with beauty of the Stetson Campus. Now everyone will get to see the heart of the institution which are its wonderful facilities, program and students.”

Due to the added interest this year, it is strongly recommended that those who wish to attend register in advance at the Gulfport Area Chamber Information Center at 4926 Gulfport Boulevard, (344-3711), or The Gate House Antiques and Collectibles at 2825 Beach Boulevard. (657-1555).  Registrations in advance will be $13 and at the door, $15.

Ms. Tickell adds, “Long regarded as an excellent residential neighborhood, the Stetson Area has provided us with a wide selection of beautiful homes for the tour from striking contemporaries to a group of historic Spanish Colonial Style homes.  These coupled with the Stetson tour will give everyone a day to remember.”
