Thunder and lightning roared through Gulfport just as the annual Hurricane Seminar began at the Catherine Hickman Theater on Thursday night. The downpour started shortly after 7 p.m.

Rainfall flooded low-lying streets including parts of 58th St. S. and Shore Blvd.
