You're Invited to Say 'Thanks' to Ellen DeGeneres
A Gulfport animal rescue organization is filming a "Thank You" video on Sunday and they want everyone to come out with dogs, costumes and signs for Ellen DeGeneres, Halo, Purely for Pets and Freekibble.com for sponsoring the 2012 Pet Pride event.
Limbo Chihuahuas-Chihuahua Rescue has helped place dozens of dogs and cats with foster homes and forever homes across Tampa Bay. Mary "Megan" Barrett helps run the Gulfport rescue organization and says she's excited to invite everyone out to a special video shoot this weekend.
Barrett says the companies Halo, Purely for Pets and Freekibble.com sponsored the 2012 Pet Pride event in April and the organization is going to donate about 200 pounds of food to her rescue alone. In return, Barrett says, the company's public relations team has asked for a "Thank You" video that may make it on Ellen DeGeneres' daytime show. DeGeneres' is part owner of the natural dog and cat food company.
The video shoot will be on Sunday, June 10 at 10 a.m. in the Art Village Courtyard. "We want to pack the courtyard," Barrett said.

"People can bring signs, 'Hi Ellen', 'Gulfport loves you', 'We support our local rescues', anything!" Barrett said.
Barrett says Sheri-Lyn and Scott Traylor with Pet Pride Magazine are going to shoot and edit the video. They are also going to work with five other local rescues as well. In all, Limbo Chihuahua-Chihuahua Rescue and five other organizations will have their own "Thank You" videos sent to Halo, Purely for Pets and Barrett says they may make the show.

“This is a great opportunity! They may not like it at all or they may love it," Barrett said.
Sheri-Lyn with Pet Pride Magazine says the video is a fun idea in order to gain attention by sending it to Halo's public relations department.
If you're interested in being in the "Thank You" video, show up on Sunday.
