Is Your Home Spooky Enough for the City's Halloween Decoration Contest?

Halloween is just around the corner and we know some of you have already put out ghosts, goblins and gravestones on your front yards! Be sure to enter in the City's annual contest today!

The Gulfport Recreation Center is challenging you to scare the neighbors, literally! Get in the spooky spirit, decorate your home and enter in the annual Halloween Decorations Contest!

Stop by the the Gulfport Recreation Center or Gulfport City Hall to pick up an application. There will be three catagories: general, haunted house and commercials. The general theme is for single/joint homes only, the haunted house theme is for single hauted houses only and the commercial theme is for single/joint business and professional locations, including home occupations.

Residents will help judge the haunted sights on Monday, October 22nd. People are asked to meet at the Gulfport Recreation Center by 6:30 p.m. that night. Keep in mind, the trolley may fill up, so be on time if not early.

A plaque will be awarded to one winner in each category and winners will be presented a certificate at the City Council meeting on Tuesday, November 6 at 7 p.m.
