Ribbon cutting ceremony and unveiling of two Public Art Installations at the entrance to Beach Blvd. S. and 28th Ave. S., in Gulfport. at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2012.
The art pieces created by Owen Pach and Frank Strunk were commissioned by the Gulfport Merchant’s Association and are being funded through proceeds from the 2011 Geckofest event.

Following the ceremony, the Alley of the Arts will be open to the public from 5- 7 p.m. Alley of the Arts is open during each of Gulfport’s Art Walks as well as during special events. It’s ½-blockproximity to Gulfport’s well-known Beach Blvd. provides an opportunity for event-goers to easily walk around the corner of 29th Avenue to visit the “Alley’s” artists and peruse their work and live forging demonstrations.
