Great Tunes and Ridiculously Good Ribs, All in Honor of the Kids

Ribfest is celebrated as one of the top must see events in the St. Pete area.

When Ribfest comes to town, everyone starts to get giddy in anticipation of the nearing holiday season. The temperature is usually a bit cooler than the peaking numbers of the summer and an overall sense of fall rushes through locals.

This year, a cold front made its way to the bay just in time for Ribfest. The temps dropped down to the lower 60’s as music and food lovers sported coats and beanies to stay warm.

Friday’s entertainment line up played host to headliner, John Fogerty. Saturday, the musicians of the day were Outlaws and Styx. Country star Trace Atkins closed out the celebration on Sunday evening.

A family funzone keept the kids busy with inflatable bounce houses and activities. Cars, trucks and motorcyles were showcased as well as a BMX stunt team performance.

There’s lots to drink and eat from a large array of vendors. Some of the best ribs in town have been famed via Ribfest. Not a rib person? No worries- the slew of food options include other items like onion rings, pretzels, corn on the cob and funnel cakes.

What's more? The benefit of choice is All Children's Hospital.
