Gulfport Boomerangs: Softball Players Forever Young on the Field
The well-known senior softball team has been a hometown team for about 40 years. Watch our video to find the secret behind the team's success.
Stop by Hoyt Field any Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday in Gulfport and you'll hear laughter, jokes and cheers during a friendly softball game on the field. Although school is out for the summer, these players don't rely on seasons to take a break for a ball game. The Gulfport Boomerangs is a senior softball team with participants 55 and up.
The men have years of life experience, wisdom and tales to tell . . . of course, they leave it all off the field during each game and just have fun like the good ol' days.
