Gulfport Groovies Take Home a Big Win in Wii Bowling Tournament

It was a competitive day at the Gulfport Senior Center as the Wii Bowling Team, also known as the Gulfport Groovies, prepared to face off in a tournament. Their opponent was none other than the Sunshine Strikers from the Sunshine Center in downtown St. Petersburg. 

Spirits were high and both teams enjoyed refreshments in between games. Although the nature of the game is competitive, a great deal of sportsmanship was displayed from both teams. 

After nearly two hours of Wii Bowling, the scores were tallied to determine the tournament winner. The Gulfport Groovies took the "W" with 2488 points total, while the Sunshine Strikers were in a close second at 2375.

The Wii Bowling Tournaments happen sporadically, but both teams practice weekly in their off time. After the holidays, the teams will start back up.
