Gulfport Mother Left 3 Kids In Motel To Smoke Crack, Says Sheriff
A Florida mother was arrested after being accused of leaving her three children in a motel room when she went out to smoke crack cocaine.
GULFPORT, FL — A Florida mother was arrested after being accused of leaving her three children in a motel room when she went out to smoke crack cocaine with another person.
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said Amy Lee Caldwell, 30, left her children in the motel room for about 15 minutes. Two of the children have physical and mental disabilities, according to the sheriff's office.
Deputies said Caldwell, and Michael Clifford Waldo, 40, admitted to smoking crack and not providing care to the children.

Caldwell, whose hometown is listed as Gulfport but the sheriff's office said is transient, was charged with neglect of a child. She was released from jail on $5,000 bail.
