New: The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Communications Center took over dispatch services for the Gulfport Police Department on Jan. 2.

As a result, the weekly Gulfport Police Call Logs on Gulfport Patch will feature some of the calls, regardless of a report taken, for the Gulfport Police Department and for the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office assisting in Gulfport. This log excludes: area checks, building checks, directed patrol, special detail, information, transport, lost or stolen tags, keep the peace, contacts and assist citizen.
