Gulfport Teen Council, Police Explorers Receive $1,000 Donation
The South 49th St. Business Association handed over $1,000 to the Gulfport Teen Council and Gulfport Police Explorers Post during Tuesday night's City Council Meeting.
Jeri Reed with the 49th St. South Business Association (So49) presented a $500 donation to the Teen Council and a $500 donation to the Police Explorers Post #995 Tuesday night.
The proceeds were raised during the organization's first ever So Classic Car Show on Feb. 4, 2012. Beneficiaries that received a boost from the event also included the Suncoast Law Enforcement Charities.
