Gulf Beaches
Let's start on St. Pete Beach, after all, TripAdvisor.com recently named St. Pete Beach the best beach destination in the United States. Ok, back to our weekend plans :) If you're looking for some deals and steals, stop by the St. Pete Beach Community Wide Yard sale on Saturday from 8 - noon. Looking for ways to "give back" this weekend. You can stop by Fort De Soto Park on Saturday. There's a "Sow Your Wild Sea Oats" volunteer event from 9 - 1 p.m. Volunteers will be able to park for free and there will be lunch and a free concern after the event. In Gulfport
The annual Pink Flamingo Home Tour invites you to browse and view some of Gulfport's most historic homes from the 20's through the 1960's. Just park and hop on the trolley or tour the homes and restaurants at your own pace. This year, the tour begins at Stetson University. Tickets for seniors 62 and older are $13, otherwise, it's $15 for the tour.

Also on Saturday, support the local Lions Club at the Gulfport Lions Club Shrimp Boil Saturday from 4 - 7 p.m. All you can eat fresh Gulf shrimp, hushpuppies and more for $8 a person. That's at the Gulfport Lions Center.
In St. Pete
Let's head over to St. Pete where we have the Tampa Bay Boat Show on Friday and Saturday and Sunday: 10 - 6 on Friday and Saturday and 10 -5 on Sunday at the Tropicana Field. Come check out the latest "toys" with all the bells and whistles. Or swing by for fishing supplies, accessories and more. Admission is free, parking is $5.
OK, baseball fans, I saved the best for last. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, you can watch international and MLB teams at Al Lang Field in downtown St. Pete during the 2012 International Spring Baseball Training Series. Tickets can be purchased online or at the stadium box office fro 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
