Patch Minute: Relay for Life, Beach Party, 'Rocky Horror'

The weekend is almost here, and we're here to help you make the most of your time in the sun. Welcome to this week's Patch Minute.

Gulfport

We're starting this weekend's Patch Minute with one of the best views of Boca Ciega Bay, right here at the Gulfport Recreation Center. This weekend, we have the annual Relay for Life fundraiser starting on Saturday at 2 p.m. and ending on Sunday at 8 a.m. That's right, it's an overnight event, featuring music, games and other activities throughout the night.

Beaches

Looking for a spot to put your feet in the sand? Head over to Shephard's Beach Resort on Clearwater Beach on Sunday for their weekly beach party. This weekend's party will be featuring DJ Joe Maz in the Tiki Bar! Now the beach party starts at 1 p.m. so you have time to sleep in and slip into your favorite swimsuit!

St. Pete

Our last stop is in downtown St. Pete! Where we have a annual event that brings performances outside. This year we have the unforgettable rock musical "Rocky Horror Picture Show" Have you seen it on stage, have you sat on stage before? Well, for the first time ever the American Stage Theater Company is allowing a limited number of seats stage left at the upcoming performances in the park. Shows are Wednesday through Sunday at 8 p.m. at Demends Landing Park in St. Petersburg now through May 13. Ticket area available online and for more information on tickets, check out Patch.com.
