Gulfport Stabbing Tied to Drug Deal

Police are looking for the suspect who allegedly stabbed an unidentified victim after the two argued about an illegal drug sale. The suspect has a distinctive goatee with a twisted point at the tip.

Gulfport police are looking for a suspect wanted in connection with a violent robbery that happened near Hamilton Disston School.

Around 4 p.m. Monday, the victim met with the suspect to purchase drugs. When the two could not agree on the deal, the suspect stabbed the victim several times on the arms and chest.

The victim was able to escape and flag down an officer on patrol nearby.

The suspect is described as a white man, 35-40 years old, approximately 6'3", weighing 240 lbs. He has bald or close-cropped hair and a goatee twisted to a point at the end. He was wearing a white T-shirt and brown shorts.

Detectives are working with the victim to create a composite rendering, which
will be released as soon as it is completed. Anyone with information is asked
to call Det. Hanh Pham at 893-1654.

Officials did not release any information regarding the victim's condition.
