'No Obvious Signs of Trauma' in Suspicious Death Case in Gulfport
The Gulfport Police Department has released new information following a body found on Monday night. The man has been identified and officials say there were no obvious signs of trauma causing his death.

The Gulfport Police Department found 61-year-old Dennis McFarland dead in his home in Town Shores, 3128 59th St. S. #215, on Monday night. Initially, officials released that the death was suspicious, "due to the condition of the residence and body when the deceased was located. At that time it was unknown whether foul play could have been a factor," according to the press release.
As of 3 p.m. Tuesday, investigators released that there is "nothing to indicate anybody else was directly involved with McFarland's passing."
According to the press release "there were no obvious signs of trama causing the death of McFarland pending toxicology," according to the Medical Examiner's office.
