  • Gulfport Residents Point to Wild Dogs for Cat Killing: Gulfport residents Al and Cindy Davis lost 9-year-old Chippie sometime Tuesday Feb 2nd or Wednesday Feb 3rd. A neighbor two doors town saw wild dogs outside his window and then found Chippie dead in his yard.   • Gulfport City Council Candidates Question of the Week : This week we asked candidates Barbara Banno and Avrio Taylor some user submitted questions,““How long have you lived in Gulfport?   • Boca Ciega Girls Use Strong Second Half to Knock Out East Lake, Advance : The Pirates girls basketball team is two wins away from a fourth consecutive state tournament berth. Boca Ciega beat East Lake 63 to 40 Thursday night. The Pirates will host Clearwater in a Class 5A Region Semifinal on Tuesday Feb. 15th.
  • New Home Chosen for Chamber of Commerce : The Gulfport Chamber of Commerce will be moving to it's new location in less than three weeks at 4926 Gulfport Blvd. in the Gulfport Plaza.
  • Anytime Pizza to Open Restaurant in Gulfport: The owners of Anytime Pizza recently bought Dominic's Pizzeria. This location will be the company's third location in South Pinellas County. Anytime Pizza is a family owned and operated business that began about 14 months ago.
