Lakeland Police Station Entrance Closing for Storm Pipe Work
A maintenance project at the intersection of Cedar Street and North Massachusetts Avenue begins Tuesday night.

LAKELAND, FL — Lakeland residents who need to visit the police station late Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning will find the main entrance off limits. Maintenance work on an underground storm pipe is prompting the temporary closing.
According to the City of Lakeland, the work will take place near the intersection of Cedar Street and North Massachusetts Avenue starting around 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18. It is expected to be completed around 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Motorists will also find a lane shift in place at the intersection of Cedar and North Massachusetts, the city says. Roads, however, will remain open. Those who need to access the 219 N. Massachusetts Ave. police department will need to use entrances other than the main one.
