A Lakeland woman managed to snag a big win in a recent Florida Lotto drawing.

LAKELAND, FL — A Lakeland woman is several million dollars richer after managing to pick the correct numbers in the Nov. 2 Florida Lotto drawing. The jackpot was worth $18 million.
According to the Florida Lottery, Diane Darty, 57, opted to take her winnings in a one-time, lump-sum payment. That added up to a cool $13,116,440.45.
Darty’s ticket was purchased at the 6175 S. U.S. 98 7-Eleven. The store received a $90,000 commission for selling the winning ticket.

Florida Lotto drawings are held on Wednesday and Saturday nights. The game features six numbers. To win a jackpot like Darty did, players must pick all six numbers correctly. The Nov. 2 winning numbers were: 2, 4, 9, 14, 18, 39.
The Florida Lottery didn’t share what plans Darty might have for the money when it announced her win Wednesday, Nov. 9.
